How to fix the economy: A 10 point plan

1) Eliminate the current tax code and the IRS, replace it with the fair tax
2) Stop spending money on things like illegal immigration, social security for the wealthy, and big government agencies that can be combined or don't work. Set a goal of cutting the national deficit in half over the next decade. Also cut the Bush medicare-perscription drug bill on seinors who have the money to buy their own perscription drugs.
3) Set aside $250 billion for research and development in defense, healthcare, energy, and computers. Also invest $20 billion or so of this into the interstate highway system. All of these things would create jobs Keep in mind the fair tax would save the federal government $340 billion.
4) Repeal Obamacare and pass a bill that allows portabillity, gives tax credits for people to buy healthcare, and that requires companies to cover everyone no matter what without price gauging.
5) Expand the worker re-training program
6) Engage in free-trade, but also level the playing field with regards to trade with China
7) Domestic In-land drilling, accidents can be stopped in these instances
8) Tax-credits for companies who hire unemployed people
9) Repeal the "homebuyers" tax credit
10) Give tax cuts to companies that want to invest in new equipment made in the USA
